Effect of agro-industrial by-products on inflammation and oxidative stress using an in vitro cell model

Abstract Agro-industrial by-products can play an important role in the animal feeding, being alternative to conventional raw materials. These two wastes be considered as sources of bioactive compounds that used feed with multiple benefits for health. This study has investigated anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant vitro capacity grape seed sea buckthorn meals, waste resulted from oil industry order swine nutrition. The was realised on peripheral blood mononuclear cells challenged LPS treated or not meal extracts. Our results show both extracts have attenuate inflammation oxidative stress induced by LPS. effect extract majority cases more than buckthorn, this might due a different composition (polyphenols, PUFA etc)
